Healthy living, is a basic necessity in everyone’s life as those who practice healthy lifestyle may say.
One positive thing that Covid-19 and flu season has taught us is that certain food like garlic are essential part of our daily diet and may keep a doctor away.
Keketso Mokgothu is a 33-year-old woman who saw an advantage of establishing her business during hardships of Covid-19, and launched a vitamin booster, Mtswako.
“Covid-19 was the main reason for me to start my business because during that time we were given advice to eat garlic, lemon and honey so I used that opportunity to make the mixture then I packaged it and started selling it,” said the self-motivated entrepreneur.
Mokgothu who holds N6 in Management Assistant from Goldfields TVET College in Welkom, worked as a cleaner during her study times at the Goldfields casino to pay for her fees.
Since youth unemployment rate is high in the country this made her struggle to get employment and that influenced her to be a business-minded individual.

Mokgothu mixes natural ingredients to produce her product that is known as ‘6% with Orange drink honey and Turmeric Booster and Booster shots’.
Mokgothu further said that the booster is for everyone.
“The booster is for a healthy living, you should boost your immune naturally,” she added.
Mokgothu highlighted to Kasi Voice News that, getting her product tested was her main challenge but, she managed to overcome it.
Despite her product being bought by local people, Mokgothu shared her excitement on her product being available on shelves of Roots Butchery and Pick n Pay in Odendaalsrus.
