Help needed in tracing missing Mashalane Mochaba

Mashalane Mochaba (32) was reported missing by his girlfriend on Monday, 30 August 2021, at Bronville Police Station.


According to the girlfriend, an unknown man who called himself Mokete arrived at their house looking for Mashalane. She told Mokete that her boyfriend was not at home. The man left and got inside his vehicle which was parked outside.


When Mashalane arrived home, his girlfriend told him a man who called himself Mokete was looking for him. Mashalane took a laptop, walked outside towards Moekete’s car, got inside and the car drove off. It was a white Toyota Tazz.


Mashalane never returned home. When his girlfriend tried to call him, Mashalane’s phone went directly to voice mail.


Days later, Mashalane’s girlfriend went to report her boyfriend missing. Detective Sergeant Charlotte Jansen was assigned to investigate.

He was last seen wearing a maroon jacket with a grey coat; and red pants with black and white All-Star sneakers. He is 1,6m tall; fair in complexion; and has black beard with no hair. He speaks Sesotho; Afrikaans; English and IsiXhosa.
