In the heart of Thabong, where community pride runs deep and small businesses are the backbone of local hustle, one woman is quietly building her name with skill, heart, and determination.
Tshadi Likoebe, born and raised in Welkom, is a talented hairstylist who has turned her passion into purpose. From a young age, she knew she was gifted with her hands — and today, she uses that gift to transform not just hairstyles, but confidence.
“Ke kgethile ho lowa because I love to use my hands and my skills,” she says with quiet pride.
Tshadi has become known for her unique approach, a mix of technical precision and genuine care for each client who walks through her door.

A stylist with heart
Tshadi isn’t just about hair — she’s about people.
“Kenale pelo for di clients tsaka,” she says. “I give them my patience, my full attention, and I work with love.”
She believes that’s what sets her apart. While others may rush the job, Tshadi takes time to understand each client’s vision, making sure they leave feeling better than when they arrived.
“My strength is how I communicate,” she adds. “I always want to make sure they get exactly what they want or better.”
The real challenges behind the chair
But as with any small business, the road hasn’t been easy. Tshadi faces daily challenges — from no-shows to clients with unrealistic expectations, and the ongoing struggle of standing out in a competitive industry.
“Sometimes people book and don’t show up,” she says. “And some clients have very high expectations but don’t understand how long certain styles take. It can be stressful.”
On top of that, time management and client loyalty remain ongoing obstacles. But Tshadi takes each challenge in stride, staying grounded in her purpose.
“The competition is tough,” she admits. “But it pushes me to keep growing.”
Building something bigger
Tshadi dreams of growing her brand and possibly mentoring others who want to enter the industry. For her, hairstyling is more than just work — it’s a calling.
“I want to build a name. A business. A future,” she says.
With the right support and community behind her, there’s no doubt she will.
