Students and staff at the University of Free State are still in shock after fellow students were taken by ambulances and some were escorted by police amid fire eruptions.
An angry mob of students torched two buildings on evening of Monday, 4 April.
It is allegedly that off campus students are responsible for the fire and reason behind this are NSFAS issues.
Fire brigades, police officers and ambulances responded immediately to the shocking incident that left some students traumatized.
Since the academic year started in mid-February, there has never been face-to-face classes, since eruptions follows concurrently when contact classes are about to take an effect.
In a recent protest, that happened in March, several buildings on the campus were stoned by angry students, and it is allegedly that two of the students were charged for arson.
The university has condemned the incident, saying the behaviour was not viewed as protest action, but as criminal activities.
Classes were moved to online from today until further notice.
