Soweto Derby: Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs | Starting XI

The football fraternity will this afternoon come to a standstill when the Soweto giants clash for the first time this season at the FNB Stadium at 15:30.

This blockbuster fixture returns to a fully packed stadium following the global halt caused by the novel Coronavirus, where spectators were restricted from the stadiums.

Both teams will be in a dogfight for a crucial three points to stay afloat in the DStv Premiership. Only one point is separating the two, fourth-placed Pirates are a rung above Amakhosi.

Pirates and Chiefs enter this encounter having had very different results in their previous games.

The Buccaneers have won their previous two games handily and have gone unbeaten in their last four games, including a 3-0 victory against Sundowns in the MTN8 semifinals last weekend.

In contrast, Amakhosi had lost their previous three games and were ousted from the MTN8 last weekend, by AmaZulu

The Amakhosi will be without their talisman, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and trustee goal stopper, Itumeleng Khune, due to injuries.
