Semi-finalist Keitumetse Mehlape gears up for Dallmayr Mrs SA crown

The Dallmayr Mrs South Africa’s class of 2024 has been unveiled, and among its esteemed semi-finalists stands Keitumetse Mehlape, a beacon of hope hailing from Hoopstad but currently making waves in Krugersdorp.

Known as the Founder and Director of Lebilo Foundation and the Tswelopele Talent Show, Mehlape is driven by a fervent passion for empowering youth and children.

Her journey officially commenced on February 2nd, 2024, during the pageant’s National Public Casting held at the Clearwater Mall in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

Reflecting on her selection, Mehlape exudes gratitude, acknowledging the platform this opportunity provides not only for personal growth but also for making a tangible difference in her community. “I wanted to celebrate with fireworks when they called out my name,” she enthuses, highlighting her determination to leverage her newfound platform for the betterment of the Lejweleputswa community in the Free State.

The Dallmayr Mrs South Africa pageant transcends traditional beauty standards, serving as a dynamic empowerment program aimed at honing participants’ leadership skills, financial acumen, and media management abilities.

For Mehlape, the decision to join the Mrs South Africa ranks was inspired by a deep-seated desire to empower youth—a mission that aligns seamlessly with the pageant’s ethos.

Despite initially hesitating in 2016, it was her evolving sense of purpose that ultimately propelled her to apply in 2019, culminating in her decision to embark on this transformative journey in 2024.

“I want to be able to raise up my voice after this journey, not so that I can shout, so that those without a voice can be heard,” Mehlape affirms, underscoring her commitment to amplifying the voices of the marginalized and underserved.

As she prepares to embark on a series of empowerment workshops, media engagements, and community initiatives,

Mehlape remains steadfast in her resolve to make a meaningful impact.

Mehlape has already joined in on a jam-packed weekend of empowerment workshops and development events held during the first Dallmayr Mrs South Africa Semi-Finalist Conference of the year on 3 and 4 February 2024, at Emperors Palace.

Mehlape will participate in many more workshops, photoshoots, media interviews, fitness challenges, sponsor events, and community projects in the days leading up to the Semi-Finals Judging Week and Showcase early in July, where the 2024 top 30 finalists will be announced.
