‘Prison Love’ author touches down in Free State for Offloading Sessions

Tshidi Monkoe (40) is an award-winning self-published author, lyricist, motivational speaker, qualified relationship & wellness coach, NLP coach and NLP practitioner, renown for her eminent book – Prison Love.

Her unconventional dating unearthed Prison love, a book about two love birds, one incarcerated and serving an eight-year sentence for armed robbery.

Just like every women Tshidi was in that relationship for the long haul but unfortunately the fate of the relationship was not as she had envisaged.

As a way of motivating women around the world the author’s aim is to give ear to them as they offload about whatever they are going through.

She has been travelling to different provinces to achieve this mission.

In celebration of Women’s Month, Tshidi will be in the Free State Province to give women an opportunity to offload. Most women go through a lot and sometimes they do not have anyone to talk, they bottle pain inside instead of letting it all out.

Tshidi was also one of those women who bottled her pain inside, she pretended to be okay when infact she was dying inside. She does not want women to continue dealing with problems in that manner because it is not heathy hence she introduced the offloading sessions.

“I was a dead woman walking. There was a heavy bag of cement on my chest. I needed to offload but had fear of being judged and criticized. People tend to judge us without knowing the context in which we made certain decisions.

I looked good yet my soul was screaming for help. No one noticed because I carried my pain well. At work I was the most cheerful person. I lived a lie – I could not handle my truth.

As a result of this, I found myself in a psychiatric ward when I was 9 months pregnant. I was admitted for 2 weeks. A week later, I gave birth to my little boy whom I breastfed for two and half years.

My tears dropped on his small chicks while I was weeping. I couldn’t handle the pain. Sunset was my favourite moment as it presented an opportunity to cry myself to sleep.

No one deserves to experience what I went through. Hence, I am offering myself to women who need to offload in a safe environment without fear of being judged or criticized” said Tshidi.

Furthermore she reiterated that people supported her by reading her book and by also listening to her multiple interviews, it is now her turn to return the favour.

“You read my book and my posts. You also listen to my interviews. It is my turn to listen to you. Allow me to help you carry the load. I may not have solutions to your problems but I know someone who does. The one who said, “I am the Lord of the broken-hearted and I bandage their wounds.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” said the dedicated author.

Tshidi emphasized that when people are faced with adversity, they wish God could come down and embrace them. According to her indeed God does come down. He does it through those around you and in this case that is her.

“Do not turn your pain into a picnic. Please join us for Offloading Sessions for Women.

Seats are limited. I have reserved tables for 25 women per session”, said Tshidi.
