EFF leader Julius Malema has made a harsh call on Tuesday, calling for President Cyril Ramaphosa to step aside following his recent corruption allegations.
The red beret’s Commander-in-Chief said they have given Ramaphosa a chance to prove himself, and he has dismally failed to respect the oath of his office.
Malema added that, they will treat Ramaphosa they way they dealt with the former head of state, Jacob Zuma.
“Fellow South Africans we gave Ramaphosa a chance to prove himself, we will treat him the way we treated Zuma, he must leave the office with immediate effect, because he failed to respect his oath of his office, everywhere and anywhere we find Ramaphosa we will stop him from speaking,” said Malema.
Malema also threatened that EFF will from Thursday disrespect Ramaphosa, and he called on the party’ supporters to disrespect Ramaphosa.
He said Ramaphosa has two-faces, as he lacks integrity, “Ramaphosa is a hypocrite, he has double personalities, in front of cameras he is something else, but behind the camera he is buying silence of girls to not speak, we will not allow a Presidents who lives double lives,” Malema said.
The party leader also said the EFF has summoned Ramaphosa in terms of the National Assembly’s Rule 145, to hold him accountable for the unreported Phala Phala Farm burglary and the stolen R60 million.
Former spy boss Arthur Fraser opened a case of corruption, money laundering and kidnapping against the president, claiming that Ramaphosa concealed the robbery from the police and paid bribes to keep the alleged beating and interrogation of suspects involved in the theft secret.
During the press briefing, Malema said Namibia’s President conspired with Ramaphosa, to abduct individuals from his country, and aided him in concealing his crimes of money laundering.
“We know that Cyril Ramaphosa is at the forefront of corruption, including money laundering, racketeering, and fraud hidden in game farm activities,” Malema said.
Ramaphosa has since refuted these allegations in a released statement from the office of Presidency.
