Patriotic Front of Azania leader, Johnny Maseko has again headlined the news, where he strongly condemned the ‘unlawful’ delay of the fifth release of the State Capture report and labelled it as ‘delay-tactics’ by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The much-anticipated State Capture report was due to be released since past weeks and last weekend, but it was delayed, and later it was announced that the handover will be on Wednesday.

Maseko said Chief Justice Raymond Zondo should have known better given the position he occupies in the judicial system of the country.
Furthermore, PFA’s leader questioned the relationship between the Zondo and the former president, Jacob Zuma. Citing that, he relationship between the two as ‘troublesome’ and says its nature and purpose are also yet to be determined.
According to Maseko, the nation saw a minor insight of the relationship’s nature from Zondo’s conduct in responding to the questions at the JSC’s interview on their stance and position on the vacant chief justice’s.
“He was unable to explain his countless meetings with Jacob Zuma,” added Maseko.
Raising with a deep concern, Maseko stressed that the delay in the release of the report is intentional by the Chief Justice.
Maseko said he believes the delay, is due to its relation with the ANC and the President’s role in the commission.
“In one of the the President’s testimonies, he stated that he was aware of the state capture but remained silent. Ramaphosa says he feared they may have taken action against him if he ever spoke up,” detailed leader of the opposition party.
“We expect Zondo to pronounce the crime committed by the President,” Maseko further highlighted.
“What many find suspicious is that the chief justice held a telephonic meeting with the President on the evening of the release of the State Capture report.
“Maseko says such tendencies land suspicion to the already existing fears that the commission will exonerate the President and even the ANC from all charges and allegations.
“Evidence indicating the ANC’s major benefits from criminal activities has long been presented, but no action taken,” informed Maseko.
Maseko says judge Zondo should not omit his personal views on to what could happen to the ANC.
He concluded by saying that, it was clear that Zondo had a ‘serious challenge’ with releasing the report by having a discussion with Ramaphosa.
