A 31-year-old man from Allanridge has reported a case of rape after a drinking spree night turned into a terrifying experience.
According to the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, the victim is an employee of a bank in Bothaville, but resides in Nyakallong, Allanridge.
“He returned home after work and visited a tavern for a drinking spree,” informed Thakeng.
At around 01:00, the 31-year-old left to another tavern, where he met an unknown African man. The pair decided to leave the tavern premises to enjoy their beverages a bit further.
When the tavern closed, the two men walked together with another African male to a house near Silverton Radiator.
“Upon arrival, the two unknown men began assaulting the 31-year-old with wooden sticks. They also had knives and threatened to burn him,” Thakeng reports.
However, the victim numerously pled with them not no burn him.
These violent men then blatantly told their victim they were going to rape him, which they did. After the ordeal, they once more assaulted the man with their wooden sticks until he was unconscious.
“A passerby spotted the man. As a result, the incident was reported to the allanridge police,” Thakeng informs.
The police have registered a case of rape for further investigation. They also request that anyone with information to trace the suspects contact detective constable Malearongwa Mokoena on 0677030610. Alternatively, one may use the Crime Stop number, 0860010111.
