President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation this evening at 20:00, on latest developments regarding Covid-19 pandemic.
The President’s address follows the convened meeting held on Saturday, that involved the President’s coordinating council together with the national coronavirus command council.

The discovery of the variant led to countries shutting its borders Southern African travelers.
Soon after closing boarders to African travellers, countries across the globe, closed borders to each other and implemented strict quarantines.
South Africa has thus far recorded new 3 220 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 2 958 548.
The death toll stood at 89 791, after eight more deaths were reported.
