Swift reaction from members of Thabong police led to an arrest of Botshabelo’s most-hunted murder suspect, on Saturday, 21 November 2021, in Thubelisha, Thabong.

After receiving information, members proceeded to the hiding place of the suspect and upon their arrival, the suspect was found hiding in one of his alleged friend.

“Subsequently, a search was conducted at the residence. During the search, house breaking implements and stained cash notes were found in a black sports bag,” SAPS spokesperson Stephen Thakeng told Kasi Voice News.

“The duo could not account for the suspicious items found,” he added.

“The items we discovered inside the sports bag were a knife, hammer, bobejan spanner pliers, side cutter, wheel spanner, Itell cellphone, grinder grinder blades, Jet starting pistol, gloves and a stained cash that amounts to R400,” Thakeng detailed all confiscated items.

The two suspects were arrested and taken into custody.

“The investigating officer from Botshabelo was informed of the arrest and thanked members on this breakthrough of the murder case that occurred in Botshabelo, next to Bloemfontein,” addressed Thakeng.

The 29-year-old murder suspect will appear on the 23 November 2021 in Botshabelo Magistrate Court.
