Boity Thulo allegedly assaulted by Bujy Bikwa

After a heated confrontation, Boity Thulo was left with a bloody face and had to be rushed to the hospital.

On Wednesday, 29 September 2021, musician; actress; and social media influencer, Boitumelo Thulo, popularly known as Boity, was at Midrand Courtyard Hotel for an event
An altercation began between Boity and,TV and radio personality, Bujy Bikwa.

An audio recording, believed to be recorded by one of Bujy’s friends, was leaked.

The recording included voices of the two stars during their confrontation, which ultimately led to the alleged assault of Boity.

The quarrel escalated after an insinuation that Bujy was not worthy of being at that event.

A voice similar to that of Boity’s says, “I’m a bigger person than him…” The person then continues, “Nobody knows who he is. He’s like a nobody. Anytime he shows up anywhere, everyone wonders why is this guy even around.”

Amongst many things said in the recording, friends are hard trying to intervene. A voice similar to Bujy’s allegedly said, “Nobody says such bulls**t. Everyone is going to know who I am after f**k Boity up.”

A glass bottle breaks. An uproar of female voices tries to defuse the situation.

Immediately after a violent confrontation, one of the ladies says, “Its a cut.”

Bujy allegedly casted a broken bottle in Boity’s face, causing the actress to have bruises before being rushed to hospital for medical attention.

The TV personality was arrested last week and released on R2 000 bail after the hearing at Midrand Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 06 October 2021.

He faces charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Boity recently released a statement confirming the incident. She further stated that she opened the case “against the culprit and would watch how the case unfolds with keen interest.”

Bujy also released a statement apologising for how things ended. In his statement, the former Metro FM presenter also revealed that he opened a counter case of common assault against the “culprit”.
