Despite this overwhelming affirmation of talent and hard work, Thabo Radebe popularly known by stage name “Sister-T”, knows that there’s still a long way to go as a musician.
The 23-years-old received her very first ground-breaking nomination for Best Upcoming Artist at the Local Arts and Media Awards (LAMA).
Radebe’s outspokenness and inquisitiveness about gospel music fraternity has earned her nomination in the locally-based and uplifting awards.
When asked about where the name, “Sister-T” originated from, the enthusiastic artist says the name comes long way in 2013, while she was singing for the clap and tap stream, where her music journey instigated.
Sister-T says her success is founded in excellence, hard work and determination, and this contributed heavily to her nomination to LAMA Awards that will serve as a stepping stone to other accomplishments.
Only at the age of 23-year-old, Sister T has a good track record of success.
The “Leha hole Thata” hit maker says she’s eager to bring the award home.
Born and bred in Welkom, Free State, Sister-T emphasis her upbringing had hiccups, but that couldn’t stop from making her name in the music industry.

“Sometimes we just focus on working hard, without any expectations for recognition or popularity. But now that I have been earmarked for this highly sought-after and contested award, I am really over the moon.
“God played a very prominent role in my life, there was a time when I was working on my album in 2017, I faced setbacks, but her mercy saved me to prosper and release my album,” the songbird added.
